# Moving abroad to live or work: the StudentFlow newcomer planner

> StudentFlow is a free planner for people moving abroad to work, settle permanently or join family. It turns the route you are using into a personal checklist, from choosing the official pathway to your first months in the country. Canada is live now; the United Kingdom, Australia and Germany are coming soon.

## What StudentFlow does and does not do

StudentFlow gives general information from official sources. It is not legal or immigration advice and we are not a licensed immigration consultant or lawyer. For advice on your case, speak to a licensed professional.

**We do:**

- Explain how each official pathway works, in plain English, with a link to the government page.
- Turn your route into a personal checklist with deadlines counted back from your landing date.
- Keep your documents in a private vault, ready when a form asks for them.
- Plan your landing and first months: SIM, temporary housing, health card, bank account, tax and benefits.
- Link the official tools, for example the government questionnaire that lists programmes to explore.

**We do not:**

- Tell you whether you are eligible, or predict whether an application will be approved.
- Score applications or calculate points. The government publishes its own official tools.
- Choose or recommend a pathway for you.
- Give advice on your case, prepare or submit applications, or represent you.
- Promise a visa, a job or a result. Nobody can.

## Who it is for

- **Moving to work:** You have a job offer, or you are applying as a skilled worker, and you want to know what to prepare and in what order.
- **Moving to settle:** You are applying for permanent residence, alone or with your family, and want one plan from paperwork to your first months.
- **Joining family:** A partner or parent already has status in the country and you are following, or being sponsored. Everyone’s tasks, in one place.

## How a newcomer journey works

1. **Choose your pathway** (Before you apply): Find the official programme you are using and read its page.
2. **Prepare documents** (While you prepare): Collect the proof your route asks for, in the format the government wants.
3. **Apply & track** (After you submit): Submit online, give biometrics, answer requests and follow the status.
4. **Land** (As you travel): Travel with the right papers in hand and know what happens at the border.
5. **First 90 days** (Your first months): Get the essentials in place: SIN, SIM, health card, bank account, home and work.

## Frequently asked questions

### Who is the StudentFlow newcomer planner for?

It is for adults, and often their families, who are moving abroad to work, settle permanently or join family, rather than to study. You tell us the route you are using, where you plan to live and when you expect to land, and we turn it into a personal checklist.

### Is StudentFlow an immigration consultant?

No. StudentFlow is not a licensed immigration consultant, lawyer or government body. We explain official information and organise your tasks. For advice about your own case, speak to a licensed professional.

### Which countries can I plan for?

Canada is live now. The United Kingdom, Australia and Germany are coming soon, and you can join the waitlist for each. We only open a country when every regulated step links to an official source.

### Can I use it before I have chosen a route?

Yes. Choose “still exploring” when you register and we will point you to the official tools and the guides that apply to everyone. We never choose a route for you.

### Is it free?

Planning your journey is free. If you choose an optional service through StudentFlow, such as an eSIM or temporary housing from a partner, the provider may pay us a commission. You see the price before you pay.

### I am a consultant or an employer. Can I use StudentFlow?

Yes. Consultants can manage their clients’ journeys from one dashboard and are responsible for holding any licence the law requires. Employers who relocate people can get in touch to talk about onboarding.
