An AI assistant that answers from your plan and official sources
The StudentFlow assistant answers questions about your own plan, such as what is next, what is pending and what is due, straight from your account. For rules, it quotes only approved guides that name their official source and the date we last verified them. When it has no verified answer it says so instead of guessing, and it does not assess eligibility, choose a route or predict approval.

AI assistant at a glance
- Best for
- Quick answers about your own plan: your next action, pending tasks and documents, deadlines and what a verified guide says.
- Answers come from
- Your own tasks, documents and deadlines in your account, and approved guides that carry an official source and a verified date.
- It never
- Assesses eligibility, picks a route, scores points, predicts approval, or gives legal, tax or medical advice. It says "I don’t have verified info" instead of guessing.
- Needs no model key
- By default no AI model is involved. An optional model can only reword the guides it is given, and its answer is checked.
Who needs it?
Student
Ask what is next, which documents are pending, whether it is time to think about a flight, or what a verified guide says about insurance or accommodation. Rules questions are answered by quoting approved guides only.
Newcomer
Settling-in topics such as landing, SIN, health card, banking, housing and scams are answered from approved guides. Questions about eligibility, routes, points or approval chances are declined, with the official tools and a licensed adviser register linked.
Professional
Ask what is next on your trip, what to book and in what order, or what a verified guide says. Questions about whether you need a visa, may work, owe tax or how long you may stay are declined, with official pages linked.
Parents & family
The assistant only ever talks about the signed-in person’s own plan, so it cannot answer for a family member’s file, and it refuses requests to reveal anyone else’s information.
Traveller
Ask about plan items such as flights, cover or an eSIM and it lists what is on offer. For entry rules it points to the official source rather than answering for you.
How it works, step by step
Open the assistant
Find it in your account, or tap one of the suggested questions. A question box is pre-filled when you open the assistant from a task, but it is never sent for you.
Ask in plain words
Questions can be up to 600 characters. Ask about your plan or about a rule, for example what is pending, or what a guide says about insurance.
Read the answer and its source
Answers about your plan come from your account. Answers about rules quote an approved guide, name the publisher and show the date it was last verified, with a reminder to confirm on the official source.
Use the buttons
Each answer can carry buttons that link to real pages: your tasks, your documents, deadlines, a service shelf or the official source.
If it does not know, follow the link
When no approved guide fits, it says so and points to the official source it holds and to your consultant or to support. It does not fill the gap.
Delete a chat any time
Conversations are private to your account. Delete any of them from the assistant page.
What StudentFlow does for you
- Answers "what should I do next", pending tasks, pending documents and deadlines straight from your own account data, with no AI model involved.
- Answers rule questions only from approved knowledge articles, quoting them with the publisher, a link and the date they were last verified, plus a reminder to confirm on the official source.
- Says it has no verified information, and points to the official source and a person, when no approved guide fits. Those replies contain no figures.
- Declines questions about eligibility, route choice, points and approval chances for people moving to live or work, and for business travellers, before any lookup, and links the official tools or pages.
- Treats your text as data, to guard against prompt injection: it strips hidden characters and refuses attempts to reveal its instructions or read anyone else’s information.
- Gives action buttons that link to real pages in the app and to official sources.
- Keeps conversations private to your account, lets you delete them, limits questions per minute and caps their length.
- Works without any AI model. If an administrator switches a model provider on, it only rewords the guides it retrieved, never sees your document contents, and any answer that cites an unknown source or adds a figure or link is replaced by the plain answer.
What to check first
- Treat an answer about rules as a pointer, and open the official source before you act.
- Look at the "verified on" date shown with each guide.
- Use the assistant for the state of your plan, and a licensed professional for decisions about your own case.
- Do not type passport numbers, account numbers or passwords into a question. Chats are stored in your account, and if a model provider is on, your question text goes to it.
- Delete chats you no longer need.
- If an answer looks wrong or out of date, tell your consultant or contact support.
Common mistakes
- Asking it to decide your eligibility, which route to choose or what your chances are. It will not, and no chatbot should.
- Taking a quoted guide as current without checking its date and official source.
- Pasting sensitive details into the chat.
- Expecting it to read your uploaded documents. It knows only each document’s type and status.
- Treating "I don’t have verified info" as a failure. It is the intended answer when no approved source exists.
Official sources
We link the official page for anything regulated, with the date we last checked it. Rules change, so confirm there before you pay or submit anything.

AI assistant: common questions
What can the StudentFlow AI assistant do?
It answers questions about your own plan: your next action, pending tasks and documents, and deadlines. It quotes approved guides, with sources and verified dates, for questions about rules. It offers buttons to the right pages. When it has no verified answer, it says so and points you to an official source or a person.
Is the AI assistant free?
Yes. Asking questions, reading sources and deleting chats is free and does not depend on buying anything. It is limited to a number of questions per minute and a maximum question length, to keep it fast and fair for everyone.
Which AI model does it use, and does it need a key?
By default none: answers are assembled from your account and approved guides, with no model and no outside call. The code can plug in a model provider, and Anthropic’s Claude is implemented. If one is on, it only rewords the guides it is given, and its answer is thrown away if it cites an unknown source or adds a figure or link.
Can it tell me if I am eligible for a visa, or which route to choose?
No. It does not assess eligibility, choose a route, count points or predict approval. For people moving to live or work, and for business travellers, those questions are declined before any lookup, with official tools linked and a licensed adviser suggested. Students get quoted guides or an honest "I don’t have verified info".
Where do its answers come from, and can I trust them?
Answers about your plan come from your account, so they are only as current as your plan. Answers about rules quote approved guides that name their official source and the date we last verified them. Rules change, so open the source and confirm before you act.
Who can see my chats?
Chats are private to your account. Other students cannot open them, and the consultant and admin screens in the app do not show them. They are stored so you can read them again, and you can delete any chat from the assistant page. Our privacy page explains the rest.
Does it read my documents or send my data to an AI company?
It does not read your documents. It knows only each document’s type and status. With no model provider, nothing leaves our servers. If one is on, it sees your question, the guide excerpts, and a short de-identified summary of your plan, never your emails, phone number, last name or document contents.
Can someone trick it into showing other people’s data (prompt injection)?
It is built to resist that. Your text is treated as data, hidden characters are stripped, and requests to reveal its instructions or other people’s information are refused before any lookup or model call. It only ever builds answers from the signed-in person’s own plan.
