Services for your study, move or trip abroad

StudentFlow’s services are the optional extras around your visa: eSIM, health insurance, accommodation, flights, forex and airport transfer. Each one appears on your list at the stage you need it, with the rules explained first. Buying is always optional.

eSIM & mobile data

Data on your phone the moment you land.

Booking not open yet

What is it?

An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. You add a mobile data plan by scanning a QR code instead of swapping a plastic card, so maps, ride apps and messages work from the airport.

When do you need it?

Before you fly, so it is ready when you land. Check that your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked first. Journey stage: Connectivity

Good to know

  • Keep your Indian number active for banking one-time passwords
  • Compare data allowance, validity and coverage — not just price
  • Plan a longer-term local plan for after you settle in

Health & travel insurance

Cover that meets your destination’s rules.

Booking not open yet

What is it?

Most destinations expect students to have health cover. What that means differs: a health surcharge paid with the UK visa application, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for Australia, province-by-province rules in Canada, and statutory or private insurance in Germany. Travel insurance covers the journey itself.

When do you need it?

Before your visa application for destinations that ask for proof of cover, and before you travel for everything else. Journey stage: Insurance

Good to know

  • Check what your destination requires before you buy
  • Read the exclusions, not only the price
  • Keep the policy number in your document vault

Accommodation

Somewhere safe to land, verified before you pay.

What is it?

University halls, private student blocks, shared flats and homestays all work differently. A good listing has a written contract, a clear deposit policy and a landlord you can verify.

When do you need it?

As soon as you have an offer — popular rooms go early — and well before you book flights. Journey stage: Accommodation

Good to know

  • Never pay for a place you have not been able to verify
  • Ask how the deposit is held and returned
  • Book a temporary stay for your first nights

Flights

Book with your arrival plan in mind.

Booking not open yet

What is it?

Student flights are about timing and baggage as much as price: arriving a day or two before orientation, with a luggage allowance that fits a whole new life.

When do you need it?

After your visa is approved, so you do not pay for a ticket you cannot use. Journey stage: Flights

Good to know

  • Check the baggage allowance for every leg
  • Prefer flexible or refundable fares where the price allows
  • Send your arrival time to your accommodation

Forex & money transfers

Pay fees and carry money without the hidden charges.

Booking not open yet

What is it?

Money moves abroad through authorised channels: tuition transfers, a forex or travel card for your first days, and later a local bank account. The headline exchange rate and the fees need to be compared together.

When do you need it?

Tuition deadlines first, then a card for arrival week, then a local account once you have your documents. Journey stage: Forex & money

Good to know

  • Use authorised channels only and keep every receipt
  • Compare the rate and the fee together
  • Confirm payment details on the university’s official page

Airport transfer

A pre-booked ride from the arrivals hall to your door.

Booking not open yet

What is it?

A pre-booked pickup takes the stress out of landing late with heavy bags in a city you do not know yet.

When do you need it?

Once your flight and accommodation are confirmed, and before you travel. Journey stage: Arrival

Good to know

  • Share your flight number so the driver can track delays
  • Keep the address and your host’s number handy
  • Confirm whether the price includes waiting time

How do services work in StudentFlow?

  1. Rules first. Every service starts from the official requirement for your destination, so you know what you actually need.
  2. On your list at the right moment. Services appear next to the journey step they belong to.
  3. You choose. Compare options, see the price before you pay, and skip anything you don’t want.

When you book through StudentFlow, the provider may pay us a commission. It never changes the rules we show you.

Education consultant?

Consultants can see which services their students have booked and track commissions from one dashboard.
